Problem: torn bolster.

Half-assed solution: stick patch under fabric

Lightly stitch with an upholstery needle and invisible thread.

It doesn’t look good , but all I really wanted was to make it less immediately apparent than it was with yellow foam showing through.

Better than duct tape. Using t hat can get you shot.

What you need to do is to get four nic e looking patches, and place them over the hole at that spot on all four bolsters on the front seats. You might even be able to get away with just doing the two outboard bolsters.

I fixed a cracked arm rest on our 2015 Ford Explorer with gorilla tape, you are ahead of that level of effort.

Why not go down the mommy route with some of those patches that you can iron on? You’ll easily find a colour that matches the seats well enough. They wont last forever but they will take the rubbing and protect what’s underneath.

That’s actually what I used to do the underside patch. I didn’t want to put it on top, just in case it adhered through normal cabin temps.
